We are excited to announce the release of a compilation of in-depth educational videos covering recent interoperability testing at EANTC. Together with presenters from 14 leading vendors, we have prepared nearly four hours of content. Each video highlights innovations and multi-vendor interop advancements. We will release the content gradually over the following weeks.
This year, we have collected over 1500 successful interoperability test results with over 60 network device types – routers, switches, clocking equipment, etc. The videos include practical demonstrations, expert analyses, and exclusive interviews with representatives from leading vendors such as Arista, Calnex, Ciena, Cisco, Ericson, H3C, Huawei, Juniper, Keysight, Microchip, Nokia, Ribbon, and ZTE.
As a start, Carsten Rossenhoevel (EANTC) introduces the participating vendors, devices, and topics focused on the EANTC multi-vendor interoperability this year:
SRv6 µSID Testing
For the first time, the SRv6 µSID demonstration with the experts Jose Liste (Cisco), Krzysztof Szarkowicz (Juniper), Rob Skingsley (Ciena), Zhou Yuying (Huawei), and Wu Zie (ZTE) of all Segment Routing over IPv6 (SRv6) multi-vendor interoperability testing at the EANTC, that took place using the recently standardized compressed segment IDs (µSIDs). The compression reduces protocol overhead while maintaining industry-wide interoperability across all ten participating manufacturers (Arista, Ciena, Cisco, Ericsson, H3C, Huawei, Juniper, Keysight, Nokia, and ZTE), as shown in this video.
Time Synchronization for O-RAN Networks Demo
Nine leading vendors participated in the interoperability demonstration of time synchronization for Open RAN Fronthaul: Arista, Calnex, Ciena, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Juniper, Keysight, and Microchip. For the first time, these vendors demonstrated new solutions for passive monitoring of synchronization quality, which enables operators to keep network-wide control of the time synchronization without requiring extra probes, with experts like Dennis Hagarty (Cisco), Bjørnar Forthun (Juniper), and Neil Jackson (Calnex). Additionally, the interworking of synchronization profiles was focused.
Keep an eye out for our publications. They will show how these innovations are shaping the future of networking technology, ensuring multi-vendor interoperability and readiness for next-generation demands. You can also read the full report here.
