EANTC and VIAVI Solutions took part in the Joint European O-RAN and TIP Plugfest in September 2020 hosted by Deutsche Telekom and Telecom Italia Mobile. The Plugfest, jointly organized by the O-RAN Alliance (O-RAN) and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), was the first European multi-vendor initiative to support the development of interoperable 5G and LTE OpenRAN solutions.

EANTC participated in a live showcase at the Broadband World Forum on October 15-17 in Amsterdam, covering the Cloud CloudCO (Central Office) architecture and the open-source Broadband Access Abstraction (OB-BAA). The first test campaign of the Open Broadband Lab Europe, hosted by EANTC, will take the findings of the showcase into account and will be scheduled in Q4/2019.

The NetSecOPEN initiative will develop a vendor-independent standard for testing enterprise network security performance. EANTC is looking forward to contribute our expertise to model a transparent and realistic benchmarking methodology for next-generation firewalls. The initiative is open to all interested in collaborating.

The European research project, of which EANTC is a member, supports small and medium sized businesses and organisations to develop interoperability tests for the Internet of Things. EANTC tested interoperability of NFV Management and Orchestration (MANO) solutions, infrastructure (NFVI) and VNFs. Using our brand-new MANO test automation service, we evaluated network service management and scale-out with seven MANO open-source and commercial solutions. Stay tuned for more details.
