EANTC has participated in the founding meeting and has joined the xG-ALOE (Alliance for Open Enterprise Networks), an initiative of Fraunhofer HHI that promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in Private 5G Networks.
The xG-ALOE initiative offers a unique opportunity in an open, collaborative environment. It supports large enterprises in validating production readiness and operational deployment, and enables small and medium-sized vendors to test and further develop their products.
Participants can use a dedicated test and demonstration infrastructure independently or in cooperation with academic and industrial partners. This enables feasibility studies, interoperability testing, and early-stage evaluation of prototype components and services. The goal is to foster innovation, accelerate technology readiness, and drive knowledge transfer across the ecosystem.
A key element of xG-ALOE is its commitment to joint measurement campaigns and plugfests, focusing on Open RAN integration. These events allow companies to tackle practical challenges together, learn from each other’s experiences, and improve interoperability across the board.
As an independent testing lab, EANTC brings extensive experience in multi-vendor interoperability, lab automation, and large-scale system validation. We are proud to contribute to the initiative by supporting open testing environments, helping define methodologies, and collaborating on integration testing efforts.
xG-ALOE is a CampusOS follow-up initiative created and hosted by Fraunhofer HHI. The initiative fosters strategic cooperation, including with the innovation cluster 5G Berlin, to strengthen the ecosystem around Open RAN and Private 5G networks.
We are proud to share that Gabriele Schrenk, Managing Director of EANTC AG, was elected as a member of the xG-ALOE Steering Committee during the xG-ALOE kick-off event on June 12, 2025, contributing to the strategic direction and long-term vision of the initiative.
