EANTC develops new test methods for 5G networks and applications that are prototyped in the 5G Berlin context. We focus on end-to-end interoperability, scaling, and performance testing covering network infrastructure (SDN transport, slicing, Telco Cloud / NFV, edge computing) as well as applications for different industry sectors.
The i14y Lab in Berlin accelerates OpenRAN and network disaggregation and provides infrastructure and support for testing and integrating the components of open, disaggregated networks to the wider community.
EANTC performs interoperability, scaling, performance, and other tests of the project's radio network, transport, core network components, terminals, and end-to-end systems. We are involved in planning the test objectives (KPIs) and methods as well as documenting the results.
EANTC contributes state-of-the-art testing expertise — particularly in key areas for 5G deployments such as NFV, SDN, and Network Slicing — to provide benchmarking methodology. We cover functional, performance, interoperability, manageability, and security testing domains in the project.
The multi-vendor, multi-lab NetSecOPEN initiative develops state-of-the-art, transparent and realistic network security performance benchmarks. EANTC contributes expertise towards transparent and realistic benchmarking methodology for application-layer firewalls, intrusion prevention and unified threat management.
